The Bob the Bobcat curriculum is a nationally recognized, developmentally sequenced program — not just free-play with a ball. Every session has a learning objective appropriate for your child's age group.
We don't keep score for our youngest players. Big Toes and HappyFeeters scrimmages are about participation, effort, and fun — not winning. No 3-year-old leaves upset about a loss.
All HappyFeet KC leagues are played indoors. No rainouts. No heat delays. No muddy cleats. Consistent weekly sessions that build habits and skills without weather disruption.
Our coaches are trained specifically in the HappyFeet methodology for early childhood development — not general recreation supervisors. They understand how 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds learn movement.

Every HappyFeet league session has two parts — a structured curriculum class and an age-appropriate scrimmage. Here's the flow from registration to medal day.

Children are grouped by age and location. Team registrations (5+ kids) can request placement together.
Each week: curriculum class with Bob the Bobcat, then a scrimmage against other registered children.
At the end of the 8-week season, every child receives their HappyFeet medal — a tangible milestone to celebrate.
Session length varies by age group: Big Toes (age 3) sessions are 45 minutes — 30 min Bob the Bobcat class + 15 min scrimmage. HappyFeeters (ages 4–5) and Future Legends (ages 5–6) sessions are 60 minutes — 30 min class + 30 min scrimmage. All sessions are coached by certified HappyFeet instructors.
